The pike is a predatory fish freshwater adult can reach one meter in length.
The pike is cooked in Italy in various ways, boiled and served with a sauce of capers, anchovies and hot peppers, onions and olive oil. Stewed with tomato, carrot, onion and a bay leaf, add the chopped anchovies. Pike is also a traditional dish of the Milanese cuisine.
